CVT Vein Therapy Center now offers the VenaSeal™ system to our patients. It’s the first and only non-tumescent, a non-thermal, non-sclerosant procedure approved for the treatment of symptomatic venous reflux in the U.S. The VenaSeal closure system is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a proprietary medical adhesive to close superficial veins of the lower extremities, such as the great saphenous vein, in patients with symptomatic venous reflux.
VenaSeal is now an FDA Approved treatment of venous insufficiency and has distinct advantages of less postop pain and bruising, no need to wear stockings afterward, and the potential to return to normal activities the next day! VenaSeal is a non-thermal treatment option for venous disease. It works by delivering a small amount of specially formulated medical adhesive into the diseased vein. The adhesive seals the vein and blood is rerouted through nearby healthy veins. It is a safe and effective treatment, providing significant improvement in a patient’s quality of life.
