Lauren Cox was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from LSU and a Master’s in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. She worked in biomedical and clinical research for several years before returning to school to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2014. She worked as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular ICU and post-anesthesia care unit for over a decade. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree as a dual-role Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in May of 2025. She joined CVT in December of 2025 and obtained her surgical first assist in 2026.
